Painted Railing...DONE!!!

I snagged some the form of my not-as-motivated-to-paint husband, and we got the second half of the porch railing painted this afternoon.  Huge props to him for agreeing to help even without a gun to his head.  Again, the job took us at least a couple of hours (you sort of lose track of time when you are mindlessly painting tiny rails), but we finished what needed to be done.

To be fair, we still have the side rails on the porch that could stand to be repainted eventually, but as of now there is no visible rusting, so it will have to wait.  It isn't too noticeable that we didn't paint these along with the stair railings as they aren't connected in any way.  Maybe one day I'll be so completely out of my mind bored that I will want to tackle that, but it likely won't be any time soon.

Again, the end result is subtle (likely even more so on in photos), but all of our rust spots are gone and we have a satin black paint finish in its place.  Here's to hoping this paint job lasts a while--I do NOT want to have to do this again any time soon!

(Excuse the dirty steps--we haven't been able to spray them off since we've been painting the railing!)
