The last few days...

Since Sunday's post...

A little ole' football team from the state of Alabama won a national championship.

I'm not sure if you heard about it, but it's been pretty much all we've talked about, thought about, and dreamed about around here.  Let's just say, Tuesday morning was much like Christmas morning around here.  You couldn't have wiped the grin off Andy's face if you tried.  Anyone else find it ironic that Bama has done as well as they have SINCE Andy and I got together?  I mean, not that they don't have a plethora of championships before the last few years to write home about, but two in the last 3 years--really?!?  I believe it is a conspiracy of sorts.  The cosmic football forces that be are smiling on Andy and frankly frowning quite heavily on me.

However, I am a big enough person to say, "Well done, Tide"...and then crawl back in my Tennessee-fan hole until I feel it is safe to come back out again. :)

In other news, we rented this movie this week...

And although I don't particularly care for the lead character (yes, still resentful regarding the Aniston drama), it was an interesting movie.  I had gotten Andy the book for his birthday, so he had been wanting to see it (and I wanted a distraction from the Alabama celebratory "let's talk about how awesome that game was" discussion).  It's worth Redboxing (yes, that's a verb).

We also attended our second "Love and Respect" class at church this week.  The views and thoughts behind this study were put together by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs, and Andy and I have already related to several of the things he speaks about.  Basically, he goes into the stark differences in men and women and how we come at relationships from completely different angles.  I am interested to see where this class leads.  If nothing else, it has led to some fun discussion with other couples our age.

And last but not least...

We were blessed with our very first snow at the new house today.  So exciting!  Not get-out-of-school-for-a-snow day-exciting, but fun all the while.

If you stuck with this post to the end, thank you.  And no, I can't give you back the last few minutes of your life that you have wasted here. :)

  1. Hi, I found you through the Nesting Place party. You have a beautiful house!

We just finished a couples' class at our church with the videos by Emerson Eggerichs. Fun and helpful!

  2. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comment. Hope you'll be back soon!

P.S. Good to know the video series ends as well as it begins!
