Painting and Poufs...

Well, same old, same old.  We've been painting away on the ole bookcase.  White paint never ceases to drive me crazy.  Even with priming well, it has taken 4 coats of paint thus far (and needs a couple more).  My goal is to be done in the next couple of days (paint complete, doors on, etc.).

Here are pictures from Monday night's painting escapades...

I actually made much more progress last night (no pictures though), and everything is double-coated at the very least (notice I had not yet tackled the back panel of the bottom part of the cabinet).  The worst of the painting is most definitely getting my short arms back in the back of the cabinets to roll and trim out.  I have ended up with paint in my hair, up to my elbows, and all over my t-shirt on most nights.  There is no non-messy way to get it done I've decided.

More pictures to come when we get things finished up!

On to the poufs...

My mom, sister, and I went to a craft fair in Murfreesboro this past weekend because a couple of my mom's friends had a booth.  My mom got me this fabulously ferocious pouf from their booth:

I intend for it to go in my craft room since the colors work well with the bird fabric on the windows.  A crazy mix of fabrics, but that's never stopped me before.  I think it's just adorable--Andy thinks it's just confusing.  "What is it?"  "What do you do with it?"  My answer, "It just sits and looks pretty."  He'll never understand.

That's it for now.  Happy Wednesday!
