We're BACK!!!

Andy and I our finally back from our trip to the Bahamas!!!

Yes, we know, we are totally shady about when we travel, but we are scared to ever say anything online about leaving town for security reasons for our home.  You never know these days!

(The resort)

We took a plane to Ft. Lauderdale, a cruise to the Bahamas, stayed a couple of days at a resort in Freeport, Bahamas, got back on the boat to cruise back to Florida, stayed in Ft. Lauderdale for another day or so, and flew back home.

(We won Sports Trivia one night on the boat...and all we got were these lousy canisters!)

(View from our balcony at the resort)

It was a wild week with lots of location changes, but Andy is quite the travel agent.  We made it to all of our destinations on time and with all of the necessary documentation.  Way to go, Bozeman!

We had a very relaxing break from reality, and although the weather could have been much better, we made the best of it.

(Do you see those palm trees?  The wind was crazy!)

(I found my ZGallerie mirror on the boat!)

(Andy found a GIANT chess set at the resort--reminded me of Harry Potter)

On our trip I caught up on my reading.  I FINALLY finished The Help (yes, I realize I am the last woman on Earth to finish that book) after trying to read it for over a year.  Everyone talked about how great it was (it was a good book, don't get me wrong), but it took me a while to really get into it.  Maybe I'm just weird.  I also read a book my mom had suggested, Room.  Oh my goodness, such a powerful story!  I read it in a day or so--couldn't put it down!  I've also almost finished another book, The Things That Keep Us Here.  It has definitely turned in to a totally different story than I expected it to, but again, I can't seem to put it down.  So, if you need a quick read, I totally suggest any of the three!

Well, since making it back to the good old US of A, Andy and I have been trying to get back in the groove of housework, cleaning up (we left the house in complete disarray), and preparing to go back to work (so hard to do!).  He's been up mowing the lawn, changing out air filters, and much more.  I've been...checking out my new blog design!  This has been in the works for some time now, and it's finally up and running.  Our blog designer and I have been back and forth tweaking things here and there (it was already in great shape--she completely ran with what I wanted!), and I think I am going to love the design for the long run.  Bear with me as I figure out the ins and outs and how to set up the navigation bar and such.  So exciting!

In other news, Andy turned 29 this past week while we were on our trip.  I think the fact that he is one year shy of 30 is slightly freaking him out, but he took it all in stride.  I will forever be grateful that he is older than me--he reaches all of life's milestones just a bit before I do.  He keeps me young, ladies.  Got to love that.

Anywho, after returning home, his last birthday present had finally arrived...his vintage football prints!

The posters are actually enlarged versions of program covers from way back when.  Oddly enough, we just discovered that the Alabama/Tennessee program (on the right) was printed for an October 19th game (Andy's birthday!).  He was so excited about these, and they turned out really well.  We both agreed on them, and I am really excited to get his "Bama Room" up and running.  We attempted to frame the posters yesterday, but without success.  As it turns out, the posters are a weird size (of course).  So, stay tuned for more updates on the man room to come.

We are also planning to get the built-in bookcase installed in the living room tomorrow with my parents' help, so we will see how that turns out.  We've had a bit of a snag in the whole installation process, so hopefully we will have good news to report.

Well, I better be off to get something done today.  Have a great Saturday!
