Foggin' up the windows...

No, this post has nothing to do with the hubs and myself in a car at a drive-in movie.  Get your mind out of the gutter!  But, it does have something to do with a certain bathroom window and a LARGE desire to keep our "goodies" from showing themselves to our neighbors.  I'll just get right to it.

This was the lovely view from our bathroom window.  I should also mention that this window sat directly across from our GLASS-FRONT shower.  Quite a view, right?  Something had to be done.  For the first several days of living in the house, Andy and I were showering upstairs in a guest bathroom.  Nothing feels like home like not being able to shower in your own bathroom!

So, window film came to our rescue.  For those interested, this is Gila's window film in the "Frosted" version, and it was purchased at Lowes in their blind section.  I bought the largest size so that I wouldn't have to piece it over the window.

I also bought the window application kit they highly recommend.  I would also recommend you buy this if you ever consider using the film.  I'm not sure we could have done it without it!

The spray that you use a LOT of on this project.  The process is fairly tricky, and our window was large enough that it required two people.  My mom and I worked on it together, and when we were finished, we got this look on the "Hello, Neighbor!" window.

Completely covered!  I won't go in to all of the steps required to apply the film, because if you choose to try your hand at it, the kit comes with all of the directions you will need.

Andy and I were very excited to see that even without the bamboo shade on the window (it is currently being shipped from Home Depot as we speak), we could not be seen through the window.  We can now use our master bath shower!

And that is how we successfully fogged up the windows at the Bozeman household.  See?  Definitely G-Rated. :)
