I Heart IKEA

My mom and I traveled to Atlanta back in October for our very first IKEA shopping trip.  How had we NEVER been?  We could have easily spent all day in there, but we had other stops to make.  Before we left, I snagged what I deemed to be a fabulous find (after a call to the hubs to make sure he would give me this as part of my Christmas).  Here she is...

IKEA's Mongstad mirror...

It is HUGE and very heavy, but we managed to make it upstairs to the master bedroom with it.  As soon as I spotted it in the store I knew where I wanted it to go.  I already had the chair and ottoman in place, so this was a great third item to add to the mix.  I really like the light it bounces and the "wow" factor it gives off (mainly due to its size).

I am finding that it is almost easier to work with oversized items in decorating.  Larger items allow you to get away with less in the way of accessorizing.  And I admittedly have a real problem with accessories (TJ Maxx can attest to this).  Maybe I need to cool it on small items and save up for big ones this next year?  I feel a resolution coming on...
