Fall Break Adventures...

Have I mentioned lately that I LOVE school breaks?  Breaks are quite possibly one of the best parts about teaching.  I mean, who wouldn't want a week off in October???

Over the break I spent some quality time with mi madre, and later in the week, Andy and I traveled to Georgia for his grandmother's wedding.  Here are a few pictures from the week...

I found a mirror that I loved this past week (for a good price) and thought it might be a nice addition to our home office.

I also added a couple of things to the walls in the office...

And a couple of things were added to the floor--including the stainless steel bins down there (I'll get to those later)...

One of my favorite parts of the break was traveling to Atlanta with my mom.  We made the trip in one day, but managed to get some great shopping in.  Do you see the slightly massive red lamp there on the table?  That was one of my finds!  We made it to the Restoration Hardware Outlet and this lamp was $14.99...marked down from $229.00!  I promise things like this don't usually happen to me.  It was the only lamp of its kind, my perfect shade of red, and HUGE.  It was love at first light.

I did fail to mention that the lamp did not come with a shade.  Target came to my rescue with this linen shade.  I am loving my cheap find!

My mom and I also ventured to IKEA for the first time.  We really tried not to stand out and look as clueless as we really were--but, IKEA is a little hard to figure out at first.  We did make it through and had a jolly good time.  They have so many reasonable items in there--it's awesome.  A little overwhelming, but fun all the same.  I found these little bins for 6 bucks and put some of our books in them (trying to offload the overly crowded bookcase).  I also had Andy get me a GIGANTIC mirror for Christmas while I was there (well, I bought it and told him it was for my X-Mas), but it wouldn't even fit in my car to get it home.  Story of my life.  So, thanks for storing my jumbo mirror, Mom and Dad!

I also moved the infamous Agrocrag lamp to the office.  I am loving the extra light in here!  I think our office makeover is almost complete.  We just need to hang a few diplomas and we will be good to go.

On to Memaw's wedding trip that ended the week...

Well, we traveled down to Georgia for these two lovebirds.  Aren't they cute?  Andy's grandmother fell in love with a man we now lovingly call "Granddaddy Bill," and they decided to tie the knot.  Don't they look happy?  They are proof that love can be found at any time/place in life.

The grandkids and the happy couple...

We are really excited for you, Memaw!!!

It's back to the real world for the Bozemans!
