Map Project...

I spotted this fun little project on the Young House Love blog.  These bloggers had decided to document the places that they traveled together as a couple.  So they bought an old map, got some push pins, and began a tally of the places they visited.  Then when they had their daughter, they started using a different colored pin to mark places they traveled with her.

I, of course, was absolutely smitten with the idea and set off to find us the perfect map.  I should also note that Andy loves maps and globes--no, really.  If you ever have trouble finding him in a decorating store, he is probably checking out one of those fancy-shmancy globes somewhere.  I knew I could convince him of this project. :)

I finally found a vintage map today on Etsy (love!) and purchased it as soon as I saw it.  It's a U.S.  map from 1953, so it is as good and old as I would have liked it to be.  Now I just have to find the right push pins!

On another note, the paint has been purchased for my two white shutters.  I'm only throwing this detail out there so that it will make me go ahead and paint them.  I have gotten quite side-tracked with getting my classroom in order and have failed to get around to it.  By tomorrow night I will have them finished--hold me to it!

Well, I'm off to watch the Bachelorette finale...Andy is SO thrilled that I have monopolized the good T.V. :)  Marriage is all about sacrifice, right??? Have a good night!
