Repairing a wall when you've ripped a giant mirror off of it... :)

I'll try to make this quick because I have a date with the gym in a bit.  Yes, at times I have to schedule a class for myself to even get there.  Sad isn't it?

Today I have attempted to tackle the small wall in the guest bathroom that we semi-mutilated with tearing out the existing glued-on mirror.  Although the wall could have been much worse, I quickly found that I could easily have spackled and sanded myself to death today.  No really--that spackle dust is awful!  It seems that no matter how hard you work, you can rarely completely hide the damage that has been done to the wall.  However, I tried. :)  Here are some pictures of the LOADS of fun I have had today in the guest bath...

The lovely wall that I started with today...
My little friend for the day (sander)...
Spackle and putty knife...SO FUN!!! (not!)
I have to admit, this pinkish spackle idea is rather genius.  I'm sure for years people had to stick their hand right in the spackle to decide if it was dry.  Now, we just wait to see white!
Half spackled/sanded wall and half newly-painted wall...
The finished product :)
Admittedly, the wall doesn't look exactly this good in person...I'm not perfect!  However, it looks better than it did.  Now for the ole' "Ball and Chain" to come home to help me hang the mirror. :)

Thanks for checking in!
